Even if all these things are nothing for you, then there are still plenty of things you can do in the region. You can visit one of the several breathtaking caves , you can take a stroll in the many small towns and villages in the region or you can enjoy one of the shows in the Western Park in Tatralandia. Even a day trip to Krakow, Auschwitz or one of the salt mines belongs to the possibilities. Actually the region offers something for everyone.
Demänovská vrijheidsgrot
The nature monument Demänovská caves is the longest cave system in Slovakia.It is situated in the national nature reserve Demänovská valley in the territory of the Low Tatras national park. The system represents a unique instance of cave levels development by a ponor water flow in the fluvio-karst valley in the mid-mountain location of the Western Carpathian. Moreover, its natural merits are enhanced by a rich flowstone filling of various shapes, as well as the ice filling of the Demänovska ice cave is also important from the historical point of view. From the vast underground places , the public has acces to a part of the Demanovska cave of Liberty and Demanovska ice cave.

Western City Tatralandia
Western City Šikluv Mlýn is the largest natural and entertaining area in Slovakia and is located in Liptovský Mikuláš near the Aquapark Tatralandia. The clients are offered much fun and many attractions and they will see the western life from the American continent from 19. century. The Wieliczka Salt Mine is located in the town of Wieliczka near Krakow. It is one of the oldest salt mines in the world. In 1044 people won already salt for the first time. The corridors of the salt mine are 300 km long and go down to a depth of 327m .
Visitors are guided along a 3.5 km long trail along statues of historical and mythical figures, all carved in rock salt. There is also an underground lake and a chapel all carved in the rock and old tools are shown to illustrate the history of salt mining.
In 1992 they stopped the production of salt after a flood.
